Daily Itinerary


Day 1: ✈ Arrival in Chengdu

Private airport or train station pick-up and hotel check-in. Enjoy a flexible day to rest or explore Chengdu at your own pace.

Optional experiences:

  • Taikoo Li & Chunxi Road – Explore the city’s trendiest shopping district.
  • Don’t miss the rooftop panda at IFS and the architecture blending old and new.
  • Yulin Road – Enjoy laid-back Chengdu vibes with vintage boutiques, cozy bars, and local snacks.
  • Jiuyan Bridge & Lan Kwai Fong – Sip cocktails along the river and capture the illuminated Anshun Bridge at night.

Day 2: Chengdu – Wuhou Shrine – Leshan Giant Buddha Night Tour

Visit Wuhou Shrine, the most iconic site dedicated to the legendary strategist Zhuge Liang, with ancient architecture and cypress-shaded paths.

Wander through Jinli Ancient Street, a charming pedestrian area offering local snacks and handmade souvenirs.

Head to Leshan, where a vintage electric rickshaw food tour takes you deep into local culinary culture, led by a native foodie-guide.

End the day with a peaceful night tour of the Leshan Giant Buddha, the world’s largest stone Buddha carved into a cliff, softly lit under the stars and far from daytime crowds.

Day 3: Leshan – Emei Martial Arts – Sichuan Cooking – Dujiangyan

Experience Emei-style martial arts, one of China’s oldest kung fu traditions, known for its graceful yet powerful moves.

Join a hands-on Sichuan cooking class, where you’ll learn to prepare (and taste!) classic dishes like Mapo tofu or Kung Pao chicken.

Explore the 2,000-year-old Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built without dams, still in use today—an engineering marvel.

Visit the Yangtianwo Panda Wall, an Instagram-worthy mural, and stroll through Guanxian Old Town, a local favorite full of authentic snacks and heritage charm.

Enjoy the serene riverside Blue Bridge night view, known locally as the “blue tear”.

Day 4: Dujiangyan – Wolong Panda Volunteer – Pengzhen Teahouse – Sichuan Opera

Travel to Wolong Panda Base, one of China’s most naturalistic panda sanctuaries, where you’ll be a volunteer for a day: clean enclosures, feed bamboo, and observe their behavior up close.

Visit Pengzhen Old Town Teahouse, a 100-year-old venue where time slows down over a cup of earthy Sichuan tea in bamboo chairs.

In the evening, enjoy a live Sichuan Opera face-changing show, a dazzling performance blending music, acrobatics, and the region’s most famous stage art.

Day 5: Sanxingdui Museum – Local Snacks – ✈ Departure

Explore the Sanxingdui Museum, home to some of China’s most mysterious and surreal ancient artifacts, including bronze masks, gold staves, and jade scepters—evidence of a previously unknown ancient civilization.

Try hands-on interactive exhibits like bronze casting, virtual dressing, and pottery shaping.

Taste traditional local snacks in Guanghan city before your private airport transfer.

💡 Additional Notes

  • Driver-guide: Your driver is friendly and experienced, and can provide basic explanations and local suggestions. For in-depth commentary inside scenic areas, official local guides or audio sets are used.
  • Vehicle types: 5-seater SUV for 2–4 pax; 7–9 seat van for 5–8 pax. Vehicle cannot be customized.
  • Panda Base: Wolong is less crowded than Chengdu bases and offers a more immersive volunteer experience.
  • Meals: Dinners are flexible; you’re encouraged to explore Sichuan cuisine independently (¥30–40 per meal is sufficient).
  • Luggage: Please limit to 1 suitcase and 1 small backpack per person due to vehicle space.
  • Hotel disclaimer: If the listed hotels are fully booked due to holidays or special events, you’ll be placed in a hotel of similar standard.
